There were a few other points that gave me the creeps but our mileage may vary. I agree that Dead Space 3 sacrificed horror for the co-op and action game play. I had fun with the co-op but it was not the same as the previous two excellent games.
Honestly want to know the scary apart about Dead Space 3? These things that you see in this picture (Feeder necromorphs) are actually strongly implied to be still living human beings whom underwent a very drastic mental transformation rather then a physical one, the only Necromorph before these guys that was hinted to still be living humans was Guardians.....
It's also implied that many of them enter a sort of hybernation state in the cold, if not freeze. At any rate, the dead flesh would have been preserved by the extreme temparatures and thus the marker could still animate them.
Though, I would say there are far more disturbing creatures in the games. The Guardians for one. Some poor sod is stuck to a wall with tentacles coming out his overexpanded belly, while he gives birth to live spawn. All coupled with the fact he still sounds alive. I think that beats "Dryed up skeleton" any day
though, your art work in increadible you should hit up visceral to do they 4th game's concept art
